The history of mobile phone

The first mobile phone was invented by Martin Cooper from the Motorola Company of the United States of America (USA). And he made the first mobile phone call in St. Louis Missouri on June 17, 1946. A few years later, Japan launched the first commercial automated cellular network in Tokyo. Several other countries followed Japan’s step, including Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. In 1983, the first 1G network was launched in USA. Eight years later, in 1991, Finland launched the second generation cellular technology. This was followed by 3G which was launched by Japan in 2001. Today, mobile phone technology has reached 3.5G, 3G+ and turbo 3G. These enhancements are based on the high-speed packet access (HSPA). HSPA allows for higher data transfer speeds and greater capacity.
